Happy January

These cold January days have been perfect for quilting! Have you been staying warm? As result of many a late night in the studio I’ve been able to stay on top of projects with very short turn around times. Here are some beautiful tulip blocks to enjoy on this chilly Monday.

And, here’s one I’m SO EXCITED to share! This vintage clam shell quilt came to me this holiday season. The owner’s great-grandmother had made it, and she asked for my help to get it ready for Christmas. It was huge; the photo doesn’t do it justice! I had to wait until after the holidays to share as to not spoil the surprise.

The colors and bold fabric choices really help tell a story; hopefully a story that can be passed down to more generations now. I love working with families to create and restore heirloom pieces.
